Edit: Try being an Angel Investor in Silicon Valley where 1 of 10000 investments is Uber or Airbnb...We have been spoiled in crypto, but most of you pajeets got free airdrops and complain. Me, yes I'm invested and I don't care if DE doesn't deliver because I've been here before. I've lost a good chunk of my investments in projects that didn't deliver because of the dev team's incompetence, which is a shame because the majority of them where good ideas that they couldn't deliver. Yes, this is a newbie account but I've walked this path and I remember the days of projects being judged by the [ANN] threads, not dev identities, websites, and banking connections. Me? I think the scale that they want to achieve could probably be written better in a "pure" functional language to reduce side effects (Scala is an attempt at a better java, as read in the white paper), but no one has achieved this yet so all opinions are worth fucking shit. However, I've spent plenty of time reading through the Capt's bct posts/discord/twitter, before I invested and find it hard to believe he would give up, however as I have learned in the real world..the road to hell is paved with good intentions. If he doesn't deliver and has a memory leak, due to a strong reference cycle to Greg, then we as a community should take the whitepaper and run with it. Because imo, thats the real gold, the theory has been written, its like Einsteins E=MC^2, and btw Shiny...Why you trolling this thread? That website? C'Mon man
