To have a job and to trade at the same time the best strategy I think is to put a certain percentage of his salary in the currency that we wish to hold in the long term
I consider trading as a full fledge job in itself. If a person wants to enjoy more than one sources of earning, he can do this. But it wont be easy, especially when he goes with the day trading. Investing and then holding on for a long duration, selling out at much higher price and buying again at lower rates would lessen the burden. Also, it would help him in learning trade with much less pain.
