Commonnodes are a new concept.
The main difference here is that a typical masternode is made to remove a certain supply of coins from the market by rewarding early adopters etc for hodl a large number of coins. As the price increases it becomes more and more difficult for everyday investors to achieve masternode status. The commonnode will with PURA is a small entry point (1000 PURA as opposed to 100,000 PURA for a master) and will yield daily rewards straight into your wallet. For large investors this is not such a big deal but in areas of the world with emerging markets making a little bit everyday just by having some PURA and a mobile phone goes a long way.
