So I have one of my S9s that will
occasionally stop hashing on 1-2 boards. All chips still read as zeros and there really is nothing that stands out like high errors, X's for the chips, less that 189 chips total, etc. except that the board(s) that stops show a RT (real time) hash of zero. A reboot of the S9 always brings everything back to life and it could be days/weeks before it happens again but it only happens to 1 of my 3 S9's.
I use Awesome Miner and have created a custom notification to alert me if hash rate drops below 13 Th/s for longer than 10 minutes. I know you can also include a command to restart the miner but trying has not been successful following the documentation. I check for like 5 seconds ago, 5 minutes ago, and 10 minutes ago to make sure all 3 are true. For whatever reason this kind of averages it out to make sure the hash is not just fluctuating but is indeed dropped for the last 10 minutes. Maybe there is a better way but this worked for me. Anyways, I know some others here use Awesome Miner so I thought I'd share what I have and hope it proves handy to someone else.
