I started altcoin trading with Poloniex and Bittrex. both are the same. Many cryptocurrency listed there. Sometime the system crash because of the traffic. unfortunately crashed system can lead you into lost if the system crash when you trying to make an order. now, I trade altcoins on Binance. the user interface is better. and the customer support like 100x faster than Bittrex.
