I had problems with bios battery which I replaced kept losing settings all time. I don't think there is much wrong with your setup check the bios settings again. I have never updated bios on motherboard perhaps there is something in any updates released?

I did have problems in windows when it took on the creators update. I am now on blockchain drivers 1 upgrade before creator. Had issues like you described on start menu etc.
