Nope, I've been living on this earth for the longest time and i just don't get them. You ask them directly and they answer with something very indirect. Try solve their problem and they will tell you "i just want someone to talk to". They try to make you do something passive aggressively. They drive you nuts but you still need them. It's like driving a lemon car, you will adjust to it. Want my advise, stoo understanding them and just take it.
