When the pool find this new block, you will get payed. This is how any pool works. The only difference is that in small (but promising) pools, you find less blocks/day. But since the number of miners is much lower than in big pools, you will get more coins/block.
I am not saying that you will get more or less coins with respect to a big pool.
Since block-finding is something random, there is a big variance for "the time it take for a pool to find a new block". But on the long run, the mean amount of coins earned in a big or small poll, should be very similar.
You might earn more/less coins, if you participate on races, and get to be the luck guy finding the block.
For example, at
bitcoinzfreedom.hopto.org, the round is set to reserve 1500 of gen. coins to the block-finder. So, you get your share-coins + 1500 BTCZ.
