My personal take on this is that investing in crypto currency would only take into account if you are spending money outside of what you can lose.
To those who asks me how much they should invest in crypto currency, I always advise them to only spend the money they are willing to lose or 10% of their income at the most. Crypto currency should also be treated same as any other investment, the ratio of risk to reward should be calculated.
