How did you come up with the name Snowgem? I gave it some time and thought about it but can't really come up with a reasonable conclusion. What's the point?

snow is obvious I think (it's winter), and gem = precious stone, so go figure I wouldn't try to find some hidden meaning here.I would like to believe that Snowgem is really a precious stone, not a snowball.
