The main trouble is that it goes 1 day and many buy GBYTE or link BTC account for this 1 day and after sell free GBYTE they receive.
I think the system that NEO has is more fair. It distributes GAS for NEO holders every day. And you can just click on Claim button in a wallet and receive it. The more you hold, the more you get. Holding NEO for a year gives me theoretically about 6% of profit. My point is that: give more exchanges so everybody can buy, and make every day distribution for holders. And we are in top!
