Yahoo was the first (?) search engine at the time when Internet started.  It was the pioneer in its field.  In the late 90's its market cap reached to a high closed to $120B.   Three and a half years after Yahoo started, Google came out and gradually took away market share from Yahoo.

After 22 years, Verizon bought it for $4.8B.  Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future and got beat up by new competitions?

What do you think?  Please provide your reason(s) to support your view.
That was unfortunate for yahoo. I don't think bitcoin will end same way. Bitcoin has its current challenges and will continue to have new ones from time to time, but the developers are always there to find solutions. Again, the sure thing is that bitcoin may not maintain its leadership forever.
Yes, Bitcoin is also a currency created by the human and the world have set it has a value. Therefore, when the world change to use other currency and think Bitcoin is useless, it will be worthless someday. That is the rule to exist of everything.

There's a big chance it will go the same way with how things stand today. Many alts have better offerings tham btc and i think btc's popularity is what's keeping it's hold at the top. Once people become more aware of crypto itself and not just btc, then we may see a change of power. Probably.
