I already ordered one from a local on-line shop, should be delivered tomorrow. The price for started kit was ~$100, including Raspberry Pi Model B Revision 2.0 board, 16GB SDHC, micro-USB AC adapter, HDMI cable and case. I think I'll manage to install MinePeon using the guide you referenced before. I am still waiting for Canary to send the miners, so I'll have ample time to play with the RPi.

That eBay link will surely come handy for others.

Is there any cheaper way then powered hubs?  Can you get a powered usb 3.0 pci-e card that uses sata power or other power, then use regular hubs on it?

Just was wondering.  Was not sure how much power a sata usb 3.0 powered pci-e card would have for BE's to run.

I have one PCI-E card in the table. However, you'd still need powered hubs, if you want to run se more than 4-5 miners off it.

any suggestions to replace Anker hubs since they're currently not listed on Amazon? The copycats are more expensive and seem to have less ports working.

You have Anker 9-porters. I removed the 10-porter links, save for the German Amazon - they still have 2 in stock Wink

I have tried and using [ Monoprice 12-port USB 2.0 Hub w/3.5A AC Adapter ] in my setup I'm running 7 block erupters on it nicely and due to the nice round shape there is plenty of breathing room between all of the erupters for heat dissipation.

Added it to the table. It looks like a variation of a 24-porter, which was already listed. This 12-porter seems to have one of the lowest prices per port.
