Please excuse me if this has already been posted. Could the community and/or those who know compile a list of users that are merit sources?

I'm confused. How does one know if he/she is a merit source? As far as i understand, everyone who currently has merit, is able to give out merit. I for example have 94sMerit, does this make me a "source"?
Or do sources have unlimited amounts of sMerit to give out, as opposed to 'only' my 94?
Theymos stated that the sources can make a limited amount of merit every month, without having to receive it from other users, that's probably why they'll be giving it to trusted users and not random newbies.
Certain users are designated as "merit sources". They can create new merit out of nothing, up to a limited number per month (which differs per source).
