I will said ripple is one of the best coins to buy now as you can get many quantity at a very cheap price now. However I will say ripple is not the best coins to invest in right as there are many coins that are going to outperform ripple in 2018. I think bitcoin still remains the best coin you can actually invest in now and  follow by zcash and stratis.
