Fiat might have an enormous amount of liquidity, is backed by governments and it's well established worldwide. It's our traditional financial system but although it might seem stable, we do see come big crises now and then, simply because people can just borrow money from banks, and since there is no max supply, there is the risk of hyperinflation, and it does happen.
