I saw there is an option to turn on 2-STEP VERIFICATION now.
However, it is not the normal Google two-factor. It is a sms verification.
Why don't you use Google?
yes, Google's identification looks more reliable of course, it's probably still impossible to forge.
but sms is also reliable no less
It is google authenticator. I activated it so I am talking from experience.
The phone is for recovery of the account in the authenticator is lost and your recovery keys of the authenticator are lost as well.
We are not storing your passwords and log in credentials so without that if you loose your account it is lost forever.
