The opinions about Deep Onion seem to be very split - some people really believe in it but others call it scam (may be FUD or the truth - better do some research).
Another problem is that there are many spammers for some coins here in the forum - e.g. Deep Onion, VIB, XSPEC - at least for XSPEC the dev said that they're not paying them but this may also some kind of damage the reputation of a project.
