I've said before it's harsh for Hero members with over 775 activity to get only 500 merits, and your case is the worst I think!
What about Legendary members who now have the same Merit as those who have 1,000+ less activity than they do?
The system is not perfect, but nothing stops Theymos from tweaking it later.

But seriously, we can't rank up so it affects us far less than unholycactus. Maybe a change should be made if another rank is created soon at 2,000+ activity and 2,000+ mertis or so
