I'm running geocoin mining pool.
https://geocoin.miningpoolhub.com1. Surprised that geocoin upgraded their network today. I didn't know about it until now.
No miners told me about geocoin. Even geocoin dev did not contact the biggest geocoin pool.
Also there's no wallet source upgrade or announcement on github and official site.
I check wallet updates regularly but geocoin has no activity for 3 years.

What can I do with current geocoin in pool wallet? All geocoin wasted?
No PoW anymore.

Geo made official statements in August 2017 about it's plans to change for PoL -

Not a Geo developer myself, but I assume that coins mined past block #1568125 should be excluded from the new blockchain -
https://twitter.com/geo_coin/status/956940994787753984As for how to carry them over to the new chain - you need to wait until swap is fully in place (trading resumed etc) and then contact developers to perform manual swap of the coins that you have collected on Geo wallet. After proving ownership of those coins you will be issued same amount of Geo Tokens.
As for the future there won't be any mining associated with Geo as it became part of Ubiq's blockchain.
Did bittrex man read geocoin bitcointalk or follow twitter? Or did they attend discord channel?
Did you inform us on this channel about your maintenance 2 weeks back?

I'm miningpoolhub operator.
These days I was struggling with server performance issue due to intel meltdown bug.
I upgraded DB, web server both and other remain mining servers will be upgraded too.
1. I also did some logic optimization but I did something wrong today.
Newly mined coins were credited to auto exchange wallet due to this new bug. It's now all fixed.
Please transfer your coins to normal wallet by clicking left arrow button at each pool's wallet page if you don't want to auto exchange.

2. Unified miner page will come soon. Sorry for late again. I'm still optimizing, testing this featuer.
3. I hired customer service staff and she is learning pool tech everyday. I believe she will answer things more quickly soon.
It's really your problem and your miners that you do not do your due diligence.

I don't understand what you are trying to say. What's the relationship between pool emergency maintenance and scheduled blockchain fork?
No one lost money by pool maintenance but much geocoin has gone away in the air.
I personally subscribe geocoin github, check wallet updates regularly. Official website doesn't reflect any news until now.
I receive +100 emails daily. I try to listen on every news but it's impossible to follow all of them.
You mean that I had to follow geocoin twitter or read bitcointalk or attend discord channel?
