My mod is faster than alexis. My 1080ti card is not so good. So I get 28MHASH with the alexis miner @ 80% tdp. My mod does 30.5. Same clocks. So a 5-10% gain on the models I have tested.
When half of revenue goes towards electricity this will be a meaningful metric again, until then, pointless comparison.
When you can have as many cards as you want but limited with electricity capacity efficiency is number one.
Electrical capacity can always be expanded.
