Hello.  I find that I cannot register on any cryptocurrency exchange site.  I am located in Korea.  All Korean exchanges are currently halted indefinitely until the government can figure out how to regulate cryptocurrency somehow.  I tried registering for the American exchange Coinbase using a VPN but that isn't working either.  Can anyone give me any ideas of what I can do to register on an exchange?
I am not aware of any ban in the Korean market ,there are certain things they are planning to implement pretty soon in order to trade in the Korean market.

  • From January 30 2018,you need to use your real name while trading, meaning no more anonymous trading allowed in Korea
  • You have to be a Korean citizen to trade in their exchanges, which mean others citizens are not allowed to trade and have to withdraw their currencies before too late, which also means no more VPN
  • No minors allowed.
  • KYC will be mandatory

You can try other exchanges but there are strict KYC rules in all of the exchanges and funding those exchanges with fiat will be a hurdle.
