My computer lost power and my wallet shut down abruptly. I tried restarting the wallet and now I get "Assertion Failed" message. Does anyone know how to get the wallet working again?

Hi crypt0kid

"Assertion Failed" is an error thrown when the database has become corrupted.
The best thing to do is to:
-backup your wallet.dat file
-remove the supercoin folder
-start the supercoin wallet program (which will automatically recreate all the files and folders)
-use the blockchain snapshot to speed up your sync
-let is sync completely
-copy back your backupped wallet.dat to the supercoin folder

That should solve your problem Smiley
Yeah that means you have to resync again. Delete everything except wallet.dat from Supercoin folder of appdata-->download & extract everything from supercoin snapshot (for faster synchronization)-->Launch your wallet.
Process will take a bit time but you'll be okay.We should backup wallet.dat time to time coz if that file get corrupted from these situation, all of our coins will be gone.
I backup entire Supercoin folder time and again, so if such problem occurs, I can just use that backup and sync from that point rather that syncing from scratch.
