Hi, I had an old multibit wallet (2014) in an old PC which had a hard drive failure.  Sadly my mother brought the PC to repair and she didn't know that the BTC was there. The people who repaired gave her an external drive with some info.. and put a "new" harddrive ( i don't know if this is true ) ...there's something sketchy here.

Anyways I got back the PC and found that Multibit wasn't there so I installed it again and tried to open my wallets but they were not there.

Recently I tried to recover the files but without success.

Now I sent the laptop to a data forensics recovery ( biggest multinational) and they gave me the following answer:

it has not been  possible to find rest of structures that do not allow a reconstruction of the directory tree nor we can either guarantee the integrity of the files.
Therefore the unique viable option has been to realize a raw recovery. This technique does not allow:

To reclaim the original name of the archives: the files that appear in the report could have been famous. The new denomination is an alphanumeric combination to be able to differentiate the archives individually.
To reclaim the original structure of the directory tree.
To reclaim the original date: the dates that appear in the report could have been modified.
To guarantee that all the files have been able to recover.
To value the integrity of the files: the state of no file is guaranteed

And they sent me the following file names :

--------------------FILE LEGEND---------------------

All files and streams are tagged with the following conditions:

Good               These files have a high probability of working correctly
and no structural or read errors were encountered.

Repairable         These files may function normally and/or contain usable data
however some structural errors were encountered.

Partial            These files have a low probability of working correctly.  They
may contain structural damage and/or read errors and data will
be missing.   It is recommended that you attempt to open all
                      critical files.

Files and streams with repairable conditions (Rep_Cond) are tagged as follows:

data integrity of this file cannot be guaranteed.

folder. The data integrity of this file cannot be guaranteed.

file's default data stream does not contain errors, the file may or may
not be 100% accessible. The data integrity of this file cannot be
      guaranteed.

integrity of this file cannot be guaranteed.

be rebuilt. The data integrity of this file cannot be guaranteed.

folder. The data integrity of this file cannot be guaranteed.

Files and streams with special attributes are tagged as follows:

programs use to control which files and folders are backed up.

         deleted.

         require additional work to recover.

in a different directory or volume.

a MAC to be read properly. Data contains a MAC-specific alternate stream.

File signatures (SIG) are tagged as follows:

signature of the file data. The file has a high probability of working
      correctly.

the signature of the file data. The file will need to be tested by the
      customer to determine recoverability.

verified to match with the file extension. The file will need to be
tested by the customer to determine recoverability.

So the thing now is that i have to tell them if i want to recover the files  and if i do ihave to pay over 1K but since i do not know the date of the files or the name its a little bit random, because maybe those are other wallets that  i am not interested in.
Someone can help me ? what can i do? Should i recover this files?
