I like this coin for its usefulness. Whenever I need to move 40-60 dollar range bitcoin from one place to the other, DOGE comes to my aid. Bitcoin fees are low lately but companies/exchanges don't care to adapt the situation. On the other hand whatever happens, I know doge fees will be cheap. It is also recognized by many exhanges and shapeshift.io too. That means it is nearly as liquid as bitcoin.
I wouldn't keep my wealth in doge block chain since it has an inflation rate but i like it for being cheap. It really solves some real world problems for now. When the Lightning network gets adopted however, its not going to be good for doge i imagine.

DOGE is not made to grow in value, so holding very large amounts is not a smart idea,
however..
i think we might see another run up in february, if they release the update..
that would be the first update in 2 years, i think.
If you take a look at github, you will see, they were working behind the scene.. stop saying there was no "development" at all!
