Guys, I have only 1 250V outlet in my townhome (rented). Planning to use it for mining, to connect 2 A3's, 1 S9 and 1L3+.

Dryer outlet is a 10-30R, similar to the one in the link below (just that the L shape on the top). I understand this old 3 prong does not come with earth but with neutral.

I have ordered a adapter to make it more convenient for connecting antminer/PDU's.

Question here is, Considering the dryer does not have earth, will it work with this adapter ? First I will connect and run just 1 antminer to see how it behaves and later point of time, will buy a PDU and connect all 4 to it. Please check and advice. Thanks.

buy a dmm from home depot

test HH  you should get about 220-240


teat 1 H to 1 G

you should get  110-120

test the other 1H to 1 G  you should get 110-120

if those numbers do not show on you meter call an electrician

so that is your receptecle  in the wall

 when  you meter \   /    220-240


when you meter    L
                          \        110-120

when you meter  L
                            /     110-120


Do you  understand?  220 -240  is way more powerful then 110 -120  be very careful
