DollarBit draws inspiration from the creation of the US Dollar which was created on April 2nd, 1792 (hence the amount). Moreover, as an American cryptocurrency which aims to become the reserve cryptocurrency it is only fitting to be the Dollar of the cryptocurrency market (hence the name).
