NPCoin is using a Hybrid design of POS minting and POW mining using SHA256 algorithme.

By enrolling to be a community peer member, you will gain access to the blockchain and A genesis block will be allocated to start minting.

This genesis block is named Basic Index block.  Basic Index block specifies the total number of NPCoins stake owner is going to generate in an unknown minting time frame determined by the consumed coin aged and turnover of blocks submission.

PoS block enable stake owner of NPCoins to mint new NPCoins based on the consumed coin age.  In every PoS minting block, minting index will indicate the total output of NPcoins that can be generated from that block.  For example, in a minting block with 200% minting index, 1 NPCoin can produce 2 units of new NPCoin, in an uncertain time frame depends on the hash target.

Eco-mining system rewards new coins to the active peer members who contribute their efforts in maintaining the ecosystem of the community networks.
