I was interested in trying to mine CRC for a bit to see how it would go. But for the life of me, I couldn't get any wallet installed.

I'm running Ubuntu Mate 17. I'm not super experienced with Ubuntu, recently switched from Windows.

I first downloaded the binaries from website. I noticed there wasn't a QT file included. I couldn't get the Crowdcoind file to do anything.

I then installed all dependencies, according to docs on Github. I then downloaded the source.

All I wanted was to get a QT wallet going so I could get an address to start mining. But I couldn't get anything to compile. I found the instructions lacking and a bit confusing, esp for someone green to Linux.

For now I've had to switch to Feathercoin, because I was able to intall a wallet in about 30 seconds after downloading their .deb package, which was a breeze.

I wish coins like CRC would consider a better installer or make the process a bit easier.

Also, I'm a bit confused, do you have to install a masternode to install a wallet, when compiling from source?

Pardon my noobishness to this. I worked on this for a few hours before finally coming here. If anyone has any suggestions or can point to a thorough tutorial for getting a CRC QT wallet working on Ubuntu, that would be awesome.
