Wrong. IIRC There are undisclosed number of merit sources as posted my Theymos here

Bro most of the signature campaigns not accepting the post making on the meta section. Then how the members who is working in the campaigns will be comfortable in that. Merit source people are on the march to come here. Then we all people have to depend on them I think in future.
The merits we have now is the onetime set amount under our account. Hope as theymos expected everyone will distributed to the quality posts. I personally finds the coin analysis and technical related posts getting more merits than other posts.
I do not agree that your point meta is the only source for getting merits.
I have other questions about merit, if I meet the required activity for Hero Member which is 480 activity. Do I need to gain 250 merits by default or I really need to receive it from someone who likes to give me merits by doing quality posts?
What if I do not get any merits until I got 480 activity so this will conclude that I will be stuck in my rank as senior member?
