Hi everyone, I built my first rig 1 month ago and its giving me headaches ever since cos I am unable to troubleshoot certain problems. I spent hour and hours of testing just to get to square one every single time.

Rig info: 5xGainward 1070 ti 8 GB, 2*Corsair CS650M 650 W PSU, Intel Celeron G3930 CPU, 4 GB RAM, Asus Z270-P mobo, ADATA 128 GB SSD, using 5x powered risers (009 ver.), Win 10, Virtual Memory set to 3000-45000 MB, WIFI USB stick. I am using latest NVIDIA drivers, Win updates disabled, running Nicehash legacy miner 1.8.1.6 and the newest V2 miner. On PSU1 I have connected 2 cards, 2 risers and mobo and on PSU 2 I have connected 3 cards and 3 risers. Each card and its corresponding riser is connected to the same PSU.

My OC settings: 75% power, 75 temp limit, +150 core/+650 mem, fan speed 60-70% depending on each card.

The actual problem: The rig starts to lag/freeze randomly during mining. I spent hours testing but I am unable to find any pattern why/when is it occurring. Some key points:

1) When it starts to lag, I get incredibly high ping (up to 3000-4000 ms) and/or multiple "request timed out", lose connection to TeamViewer and get some rejected shares. Sometimes I regain the connection and the ping gets stable, sometimes not and I have to manually shut the rig down. It seems the high ping is more of a symptom than cause of the problem though.

2) It appears to be happening with pretty much all algos, havent found any pattern in this.

3) Sometimes its running just fine even for 1-2 days (with occasional high ping/few rejected shares here and there), sometimes it totally freezes 1 second after I start mining.

4) It appears that when I am running 4 cards, the problems either dont occur at all or are less severe. It appeared at first that its the GPU n2 thats causing the problems, but latest testing suggests that its rly just random. Once all 5 GPUs are running it appears the issues gets worse (but again, randomly).

5) My hashrate seems normal and stable in the legacy miner and doesnt drop, even when then its starts lagging, however the hashrate drops quite a lot on the V2 miner in time (again, only sometimes, just randomly).

6) OC doesnt seems to be causing those issues, since Ive fiddled with different settings and even running on default the issues still persist.

7) Whenever I stop the V2 miner it resets the manual fan speed of all cards to automatic for some unknown reason. Legacy miner doesnt cause this issue.

8 ) My connection is completely stable with around 15-30 ms when I am not mining.

9) Sometimes when I restart my rig and open afterburner, it takes like up to 1 minute to load, sometimes its instant. Idk if this has anything to do with the issue though.

I apologize for the wall of text, but I wanted to list all the issues. Ill be glad for any help, hopefully there are some experience builders who have encountered something similar and might know the root of the problem.
