I always wonder why do people say "I am gambling for fun and not for the money".
Why do you use money at all to gamble? There are plenty gambling sites in which you can easily play with fun money, play money or "whatever it is called" money.

Gambling for fun for me means that whenever I lose money from my habits, I try to prevent that loss from hurting my finances and my life. If I play with "fake money" I will not have fun. Nothing is free in this world including fun!
This one should be the main point of "gamble for fun". Just like when we spend some money for our hobby e.g fishing, sports, watching movies at the cinema, etc. For an activity that gives us some fun, it is reasonable if we should spend some money including gambling. The fun on gambling is not limited to the feel of playing the game but the feel of losing and winning money.
Obviously it is hard to accept losing money on gambling as a fun thing, but if we have decided to gamble for fun only means that we will not feel so bad when losing money because we are ready for it before start.
