SGT, this is not for you but I wanted to add for other new people who may be reading your post.

Best to increase the amount you are willing to spend on transaction fees. Then your transaction will be pushed to the front of the mining line.

Have you ever tried to send a BTC transaction and it took days to process? If so, the reason why is because those who are willing to pay higher transaction fees get pushed to the front of the mining line. Since costs are always increasing against miners they always look for the most profitable transactions to mine first. When transactions slow and no premiums are available they go back to mining the transactions with regular fees. Premiums matter these days unlike it was in the past when money was so easy to make.

It may seem stupid to pay a premium when the transaction will eventually go through but what happens in a market where you need to buy or sell quickly? Every minute counts and paying a $100 fee is much better than a $20 fee if you are going to  potentially miss out on $1000s in gains - all because you did not want to pay an $80 additional fee. I call it stepping over dollars to get the pennies. The lightning network will likely have higher fees but normalized fees with very fast transaction times.

One last recommendation is to always use the coin wallets (usually a QT wallet). Some exchanges have many problems processing payments from mining rewards or outside internal exchanges. Unfortunately Cryptopia did not make this distinction but many exchanges do. There are profitable limits for these exchanges and sometimes depending on the network load as described above they wait to add your transaction with others' smaller transactions. Who you team up with may not be worth mining and a lag will occur and sometimes they will get stuck after waiting so long to send.
