Most are concentrated on BTC and ETH, meanwhile a dark horse is coming fast from behind unnoticed.

This is possible but I think not in 2018. In 2018 it will be bitcoin or ethereum and I think by the end of the year it will be ethereum. It is going from strength to strength while bitcoin is struggling to hold ground.
