As with any investment, get into something you believe in, something you might use.  Something you see as a benefit to the economy, the world, the internet, the way we move money, the way we receive money, the way we interact... really anything.  If you don't believe in it, don't bother.  That is my strategy.  I work in the medical field, so I am shifting my focus towards projects in that realm...
