Yes I understand the concept entirely. Bitcoin trades require trust on some level. My point is that the process of getting these products required group buys which involved placing trust in someone, escrow couldn't remove the scam potential. I'm surprised there wasn't more scams of this kind. Read my other posts in this thread to fully understand my point and you may either agree or disagree.
