Can someone explain how the percentage works? I thought that each block was a roll of the dice. Once a block is generated, everyone starts over rolling the dice as fast as they can. (hash rate) The way you guys are quoting percents, makes it seem like we are "assembling" a block and that it will be any time now before it is complete. Forgive me for not understanding how pool mining works.
That's how pooled mining works - the one lucky hash solves the block, yes, but all participants are rewarded for the work they submitted to the pool based on the system used, in our case PPLNS with 5d being the N used here. Solo mining is an all or nothing proposition...Mine On!!
