If it has to use bitcoin in the coin name, then it is not better than the original. If they can't even take the time to create a unique name, what does that say about the project?

I understand what you are saying but marketing is very important and you need to go with a catchy name
I think it is going to hurt them in the long run. Look at all the bitcoin forks with the name bitcoin in it. Most of them turned out to be scam or temporarily did well. A catchy name does help with marketing though.
