By holding gold people won't get rich. They can be assured they won't go poor either but gold is for a kind of people which will not by any mean like/transact cryptocurrencies. Are two completely different worlds and shouldn't be compared

made bitcoin illegal and announced an upcoming ban.

The government does not consider cryptocurrencies legal tender or coin, and will take all measures to curb the use of these crypto-assets in financing illegitimate activities or any part of payment systems
It means they will take all measures to stop the use of cryptocurrencies to finance illegal activities such as, drugs, money laundering, prostitution and terrorism and in the end of the statement the minister of finance said theat they encourage blockchain technology as a new way of traditional payment system.
