Yes - tried monero. Quite a good coin and algo. But seems to be run by one individual (wallet) and fees were almost as bad as Bitcoin. Not really worth mining.

Nice Hash ok (can mine alt coins and they payout in BTC) but again huge problems reaching the min payout.

I am continuing to try small altcoins. The criteria for me is:

Easy set up for miner.

Decent independent wallet.

Low or no fees

low payout threshold.

All this info readily available on one site.

I am also looking at scrypt algo coins and finding a specialised rig - something like ant miner but cheap.
