I've done "add stake"...and I've added my whole 396 HAT
so now I've in "active staked amount" 396 HAT (while before I've zero hat in that field)
should I deduce that I have not gained anything since January 21st ?

If I understood your message correctly, you have installed Hawala wallet on the Jan 21st and now you're wondering why haven't earn any incentive. Well, in order to earn incentives, you must stake the HAT tokens. You won't earn anything if you just hold it in the wallet.
