Yes in deed, i agree with you, there is no reason why somebody should fell safe in Ukraine. I am not from Ukraine but they don't have happy news.Regarding to the kidnapping i have found a link for those interested:

Can an Isolated incident apply to the whole story ? These type of incidents cant emerge in any country. ( may be not in Scandinavian countries, but again what about Anders Breivik mass killing?  ) Is USA safe country ? I think still Ukraine safer than USA.
