Nice job Salty. I know how difficult and stressful what you're attempting to do can be. Glad to see you're sticking with it!

Getting it perfect is stressful, I'm just seeing how it comes out along the way. If it works out well, great. If not, I'll just melt them back down and try again.
Anyway, here is the result after course buffing and a bit of detailing. Its not perfect, but its got a lot of work left to go, and the hand feel is actually
really pleasant. The little bit of texturing makes it feel less like a die struck coin, and more pirate treasurish with the grainy context of bread working with it. Anyway, now I'm onto the fine buffing, then tumbling/burnishing and finally I'll see about rubbing them with a bit of renaissance wax.
