A lot of people in Ethereum community are very bullish about Ethereum price and they expect the price to surpass Bitcoin in 2018 when they fix the scaling problems and the proof of work fork. Personally, I don't think it is impossible for Ethereum to surpass Bitcoin in market cap.
I'm usually keep invest on ETH when it reach lower value although it's difficult to find one.
For this year , I think ETH will reach another record $ 1480++ as I can see people getting interest on ETH from time to time
