YPool posted an update to their share formula, and now I can't connect through 7.1 or the rdebourbon versions. They say they recommend mums v4, will try and see.
rdebourbon's version still works, pool was just down for a minute while they changed things. I would love to see an 'unofficial' version that reads the share value from the server too
Can confirm, back on rdebourbon, but I'm concerned that it is the version they tweaked the share value for and will not be generating as good a return because it finds smaller primes. Any thoughts?
I can't confirm if the new Ypool miner is more effective than the newly custom released miner. Will be performing tests on 3 processors.

So far compared to 7.1 it's quite a bit more effective. Although right now I have my AMD Turion X2 and A6-3400m beating one of the top i3s ever made in the i3 3225.
Now time to compare to Ypool (if I can't see a trend across all 3 this will call for longer test periods).
