I have a question for you. I would be pleased if you could answer it.

I am now in an airdrop but I want to get some coins more from other airdrops. However, there are some things that I cant understand about them. Why the ask me for a ethereum address? I mean, they will pay me a coin called X, how is it possible recieve that coin in a ethereum address. Don't I need a X address instead of ethereum addresss? I don't understand very well.
