By all means, go ahead and pay with Bitcoin. Use a rate of 1 BTC = $112 to split the difference between gox and btc-e.
Currently, we are building our stuff to work with cgminer. If we have time to work on support for other miners we will, but realistically we will probably just be sticking with cgminer. Shouldn't be too hard a move for you.
