Dallar soft released on January 1st, 2018 and involved various game development communities to figure out its direction and development. Our Discord community has grown to be about 300 game developers or other creative types, ranging from individuals from a wide variety of notable companies, many indie developers, and those looking to get into game development.

We believe we have enough of our bugs worked out to go public, thus this post.

Dallar doesn't take itself too seriously. We know we are a shitcoin in a vast ocean of shit, but we still want to do things 'the right way'. We outline our purpose in our whitepaper, https://dallar.org/whitepaper.pdf. We are simply a large group of game developers who wanted to learn about cryptocurrency, and in turn, created a cryptocurrency.

At the time of this announcement, we are listed on zero exchanges. We haven't even started reaching out to exchanges. This is definitely something we're doing soon, but we're first focusing on our biggest utility. We are actively working towards creating a decentralized game asset and tutorial marketplace where anyone can quickly and easily spin up a web node and have people buy their game development related offerings for Dallar. Once this is achieved, we will be actively pushing for adoption on exchanges because its the cryptocurrency thing to do.

Dallar is its own blockchain, with its codebase forked from Groestlcoin.
