and according to the thread above bitfury chip prices will be going up when sales reopen  Shocked

Up 270%!!!
That is why I asked Burnin about the overclocking to 5Ghash/s. Do the math, 2 to 5 is a 250% increase, but still less than 270%. Perhaps Bitfury are anticipating delays by some other manufacturers and hence lower difficulty rates (and higher prices)?
You got a link?
1BTC per GH/s is way over the top for a chip ...
They only cost like less than $10 per chip right?

  • BITFURY ASIC chips - $25 each

Hey yes.

Exciting that we're almost there on the chip order. Looking good for this to happen smoothly (fingers crossed). We have been considering a second chip reel, but i just found out the new prices and they have gone up dramatically, so it's not really doable. We are really lucky we got the chips for the price we did. They are around 270% the price now. We would have to put the prices up a lot for a second reel, so probably just sticking to the one. Only 800 to go!

Not sure why such a steep Increase, I guess we will need to wait for chip sales to re-open for confirmation on prices however if true Burnin should consider carefully before putting too much effort into new boards..
