From touching the heatsink the one directly on top of the ASIC is completely cool, so is the end of the heatspreader.
Would anyone be interested in a set of the ASIC sink, a little VRM sink with thermal tape applied and a pre cut piece of 3M thermal tape to attach the other side of the stick to any heatsink.
Considering the heat from the ASIC on the BE basically all goes in to the PCB, you wasted your time and effort putting a heat sink on top of the chip. It's like mounting your heat sink to the back of your motherboard in your PC.
